| X-B.I.T STM (Stealth Mode) and X-B.I.T LED Explanation |
|
The STM-Switch has no effect after the system got powered up and the
console booted from any bios. It only defines if the console boots from
the original bios or if it boots from a patched (non-original) bios
after the next "POWER-UP/"RESET". If the flash is formatted and a selected bios bank does not contain a (valid) bios the XBox LED is blinking green and red. The X-B.I.T can be flashed even when it is not installed into a console! If the X-B.I.T is installed into the XBox and the USB connection to the PC is established the X-B.I.T is behaving in a special way as follows: The X-B.I.T needs to stay active because of the USB connection even if the XBox got switched off in the meantime. The state of the X-B.I.T will not change as long as the USB connection is active, this means it will not change the state that was given before the USB connection got established (either STM or active). Whilst transferring data via USB the X-B.I.T always gets deactivated and the X-B.I.T LED is "OFF". After disconnecting the USB the X-B.I.T state changes after the next "RESET" to a new STM-State if need be. The Bios Select-Switches 1..3 are active although the USB connection is established, you can switch between the different bios banks. |
